More Sunday Morning Sadness

Though not on the same magnitude as that poem, this is the second bowl of this fancy-pants raisin bran we bought and I’m now convinced that there are no raisin in the box.

Which makes me sad when I go to eat it, but the more I think about it, the funnier it is.

Why go to all the trouble to make raisin bran if you’re going to forget one of two main ingredients?

  1. When I was a child, I would selectively eat all the raisins out of our box of raisin bran. My dad then wondered why there were so few raisins when he poured himself a bowl.

  2. Perhaps they all shifted down to the bottom of the box, so once you’ve eaten all the cereal you’ll get a tasty bowl of raisins.

  3. Store the box upside down. The raisins start to shift back toward the top, which solves the problem Peggy mentions.
