Where are the Police Reports?

Over on Twitter, I see that the Republicans are accusing the Occupy Nashville people of having peed on staffers. Now, my patience is thin for the Occupy Nashville people, but really? Someone fucking peed on your staffer and you… what? Why am I hearing nothing about police reports? I mean, of course, I don’t believe anyone peed on anyone. But my god, if someone peed on me in the course of my work day and I complained to my boss and nothing happened? Like he didn’t call the police or anything?

I would have the shittiest boss on the planet.

Don’t they get what a bad light this paints them in?

  1. I have no patience for the Occupiers in general. But I’m sick of this unsubstantiated gossip flying around about them. The way people talk about them–peeing on people, leaving feces around, having sex in the bushes– you’d think they were a pack of wild dogs. It’s just reached Urban Legend status and I believe none of it.

  2. This aggression will not stand. That staffer really tied the room together.

  3. Yes I smelled bullshit, not pee, all over that claim. This has become a terrible pattern with our state leaders, though. They’re just constantly making shit up. I mean, this is like the 50 gazillionth time they’ve just made something up and they assume because they say it we’re all going to buy it. Why would we do that?

Remember back in November Steven Cates claimed Occupy Nashville people were defecating and peeing on the grounds of Legislative Plaza? This is just more of the same.

Remember Ramsey saying he had “all of these people” who wanted to hire but wouldn’t because of our oppressive environmental regulations? And these same people were afraid to come forward? I mean, really? Y’all think we’re going to buy this?

They need to remember that with every fabrication their credibility gets another hole.

  4. Republicans lying about people of whom they don’t approve?! Color me unsurprised.

  5. Southern Beale, it really has become almost pathological. If there really are people who are affected so negatively or so positively by something that it requires the state to address it, the people of the state should have some assurances that those people actually exist and that the things happening to them are actually happening.

  6. No pictures or footage means it didn’t happen. I saw a driver get mouthy with a cop a few days ago and immediately about 15 people whipped out their cell phones to record the event. I walk through Legislative Plaza about twice a day and have never had any problem at all with the Occupy folks.
