A Shunned House

Lord, people, one of my biggest worries as a writer has been that I’m unoriginal. So, I’m finding it weirdly freeing to be writing a take on “The Shunned House.”

I mean, fuck yes, it’s cheating. I’m sitting here with Lovecraft’s story and saying “This works, let’s put it in.” and “This doesn’t work. It has to go.” Basically using the story as an outline.

But it’s fun. And it’s nice to pay close attention to a good writer’s words. I don’t know if this will be a great story, but it’s a fun exercise.
