The Murfreesboro Greenway Review

I have many hobbies, such as driving around and looking at things and driving places to walk around. Today, Mrs. Wigglebottom and I combined both of those hobbies into one fun-filled trip to the Murfreesboro Greenway.

My take: Wow. How beautiful! You can walk right along the Stones River and it’s not very crowded, so it’s peaceful. Plus, I saw something I’ve never seen at a Nashville park–a clown and a princess filming a movie.

Mrs. Wigglebottom’s take: There are a lot of things to sniff and plenty of rocks that need peeing on. The water in the Stones River is too cold for much splashing, but the splashing that did take place was marvelously fun.

  1. I love the Stones River Greenway. The only bad part is when you start out somewhere, walk waaaay to the other end, then realize, “Dammit, now I have to walk back.” There is nothing better than a greenway that winds behind a gas station selling fried chicken and then takes you into calm, natural scenery a few minutes later.

  2. We’re so glad y’all had a good time! We hope you and Mrs. W can make it back down to the greenway April 8. Rosie the Ritalin Dog, who now lives in Lebanon and doesn’t get to sniff the greenway much anymore, will be there celebrating her birthday by walking and sniffing and peeing, to be followed by a trip to Sonic for ice cream. And then a nap.

  3. I love the green way, I have a young baby that loves going to the green way as well. Its a nice place to go to relax after a hectic day at work. Rachel I agree with you, to bad there were not more smaller trails that rapped around so that you do not have to walk as far to realized you have a far ways to go back. Thanks for this post!
