  1. Today I went to meet a new Mexican family (well, new to me) to purchase home-made tamales. Oh my God, B, the difference is night and day. This batch is HOT, but it takes a minute to notice. My friend Andy and I went to pick them up, and we aound up playing with beautiful brown children, immaculately dressed, then sitting at their table sampling fresh tamales, home made salsa, and nicely sweetened iced tea. It was like we aere family. Andy deosn’t speak a lick of Spanish, yet he was able to communicate his pure joy for the experience. I may just bring some with me to the Blogger on the Hill Day, perhaps if Stacey X puts one of these in his mouth, he’ll better understand one small contribution these people can make to our culture. Nah….I’d rather give em to Mrs. wigglebottom, truth be told.

  2. I’d just like to say that I am so excited about the discovery of tamales that I about can’t stand it. I bet if you showed up here with some tamales, all would be forgiven between you and Mrs. Wigglebottom.
