What the Heck?!

Check “Think Progress“:

In his interview with Rush Limbaugh this afternoon, Karl Rove claimed that the people criticizing Bush are “sort of elite, effete snobs who can’t hold a candle to this guy. What they don’t like about him is that he is common sense, that he is Middle America.”

Oh, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

a.) Elite?  Sixty-five percent of the population is elite?

b.) Effete?  Yes, we are the side of the openly gay.  See, we think it’s far better for folks to just be able to be with who they are attracted to in the first place rather than dragging a wife and kids along in a lie until you get caught in a meth-fuel gay prostitute romp.  Speaking of which, Karl, who was Jeff Gannon spending the night with when he stayed over at the White House?

c.)  Only in America would folks buy that the son of a millionaire, a man who went to Phillips Academy, Yale, and Harvard, is “Middle America.”

Shoot, if that’s what it takes to be Middle America, I’m somehow an elite snob who’s scraping the bottom of the barrel.

  1. My fat, middle-class, white heterosexual butt has been pretty critical of Bush for awhile now.

From where I sit he looks like a Cadillac Cowboy posing for pictures with his hand in everyone’s pocket.

    “Middle America” my ass.

  2. Only in America would a cheap-shot hack like Rove be considered a political genius. Okay, maybe in Afghanistan, too.

Rove is just continuing to follow the contemporary GOP playbook. It doesn’t have to have any basis in fact, as long as it sticks to where you’re throwing it. Considering that Rove was slinging this excrement on Rush Limbaugh’s time, I think he can count on it sticking.
