Tennessee Conservatives Do Right

1.  Bill Hobbs has a new job.  Congrats, Bill.  But doesn’t that beg the question when our side is going to start exploiting the talent of Sean Braisted?

2.  Martin Kennedy and I met up for cigars yesterday.  I can safely say that the folks at the Belle Meade Cigar Shop don’t entertain a lot of women in their comfy lounges, but I had a good time.

3.  What?  Did you really think I’d be able to come up a third thing Tennessee conservatives did right yesterday?  Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

  1. Communications Director. Hmmmmm. I’m going to be watching this closely. The tone of the State GOP will be set by him, so let’s see what he does with it.

  2. Damn, I want to smoke cigars with Martin Kennedy.
    I’m very jealous.
I LOVE cigars. Next time I come to town, I’ll bring former Gov. Ned’s favorites made here.
    Heh.

  3. Mr. Mack,

I don’t expect I’ll be setting the tone. Typically, a party’s communications director manages media relations but doesn’t make policy or agenda decisions. Basically, I’m going to be helping the TN GOP maximize media (and blogosphere!) coverage and better communicate with the people.

  4. Mr. Hobbs, fair enough. I always thought if the Party had an initiative to roll out, the Communications Director would help frame it, package it, and sell it to the media and the public.

  5. Rex, it was right after. I was waiting in Starbucks for Martin. A cigar smoking salon would be good fun. I fear I don’t know enough about cigars to host it, though. I tell you what, though, if every salon revolved around watching Notre Dame get beat in the background, I could go for that.
