Boring Girly Stuff about Painting Our Nails and Giggling

Shoot, if I were a guy with a birthday next month, I wouldn’t read any farther for fear that I would die of bordom just short of said birthday.

Okay, I wanted to take a picture for y’all of the squares I have done because they have turned out so cool, but my phone is at work (I hope) and so you’ll just have to wait.

I have nine done, though, mostly brown with hints of blue and they look fine and how I want them to look.  So, I laid them out on the couch in a three by three square and I was pretty pleased with how they look.  But when I turned them all so that they were diamonds instead of squares?

I don’t know why, but it made all the difference in the world.  It just looks awesome.

And here’s what I want to say.  I love crochetting like this because I love having an idea and a vague idea of how it will turn out and then I love getting started and seeing how it both matches what I expected and doesn’t.  And then I love getting farther into it and realizing that it’s going to be its own thing–which is going to be different and better than what I expected when I started out.

I love that feeling of “I don’t know what I’m going to end up with, but I can’t wait to see.”

  1. And Church Secretary cooks?!!!
    I mean… I just… I can’t…
No other men have a chance when they are within a 50′ radius of Church Secretary.

I don’t believe he really exists.
    I just don’t.
I think he lives in my imagination.

You’ve just perfectly described the way I go about being a computer programmer, much to the chagrin of my employer. Cool.
