The Butcher found this in the yard, over where the water pools. He let it go in the creek. It looks enormous, but I’m assuming that it wasn’t.

That’s soooo strange! The only cool things we find in what passes for our yard are the neighbor’s cats, and they seem to only exist in order to get our cats to launch themselves at the nearest window.
Careful not to accidentally step on it. That might be one of the endangered crawfish found only in Davidson County.
