  1. This was the old lock-keeper’s house. Lyda Phillips, when she wrote her story for The Scene, remarked that she thought this would be a great space for a little river museum. I really think that would be perfect. Even in its dilapidated state, the house is so cute. It’d be nice to see it put back to use.

    Otherwise, if the city refuses to do something so eminently reasonable with it, I’m going to have to assume that it’s because the building is haunted.
