Good Lord, There’s a Lot of Good Stuff to Read. Good Thing It’s Raining

—Gertrude and Alice children’s books?! I faint with delight.

—I am speechless at this. This is mainstream political discourse? On the other hand, I’m glad to see that women can prove ourselves to be just as big of assholes as the menfolk.

—Not only should folks teach The Wire, they should all watch Treme, to support my friend, Tom.

—A balloon, what appears to be a modified styrofoam cooler, a parachute, and some of the most amazing pictures of our planet.

—Yes, the chart. Oh, god, the chart. And the starving. I remember it well.

—I honestly think this is one of the most thoughtful and insightful posts I’ve read about blogging in the age of Facebook and Twitter. I read it this morning and my mind is still a little blown.

  1. I saw that Tom was consulting on Treme! Did you read the article on it in the NYT Magazine last Sunday? I’m so excited about it. David Simon is a genius.
