I have walked by many a vehicle in this city from which the distinctive smell of marijuana was wafting. Today, though, may be a first. I was walking to Noshville past a truck that smelled so strongly of rosemary I had to stop and ask myself if that’s really what I was smelling and, yes, yes it was.

I’m not sure how much rosemary one has to have on his person or in his passenger seat for someone to be able to smell it strongly ten feet away, but now I kind of want to find out.

  1. I grow rosemary in my garden, and can answer this question – two or three sprigs of freshly picked rosemary, slightly crushed in your hand, can be smelled at the other end of a house.

  2. I like the idea of rosemary deals going down on the streets. Actually, any kitchen herb deal, now that I think on it.

“Hey man, this is fresh stuff. Cut this morning. This isn’t some freeze dried stuff like you’d get from some of my competitors.”

“What, mint? Why are you even asking me for mint – you know I don’t truck with that. Mint will spread until it takes over your whole life. Uh-uh. I won’t have anything to do with that.”

  3. Neat. And much more pleasant than the time in July when I left a gallon jar of kimchi in my black car in the hot sun for a few hours. :)
