There is something cool about a memorial to the Woodsmen of the World.
Really, it’s as if all Nashville did at the turn of the last century was make up and join weird secret societies and then commemorate said societies on their graves. Woodsmen, Masons, Oddfellows. i didn’t see any Shriners, but I’m sure they’re in there.
Shriners are supposed to be a secret society, though, right? So they shouldn’t mention it on the graves.
So are the Masons and they advertise it on their graves like it’s going out of style. Maybe you’re allowed to come out in death?
Eh, I don’t know.
Well, shoot, unless the Shriners are the only ones who actually understand the “secret” part of “secret society.”
