Here’s a photo of a quilt Mercy Brown made, before she became a vampire. And before her brother was forced to drink the ashes of her heart.
Which is, ugh, not good. Still, if one of my brothers is forced to consume my heart, I’d rather him drink the ashes than just gnaw on it.
I also, out of spite, would probably not quit trying to suck the life out of him, though. Let’s be honest.
On reading the caption aloud to my husband, he remarked “Man, that was one bad smoothie.”
No kidding! I don’t want to mock the desperate, but I think, if my option was, “drink my sister,” I’d just go ahead and die, too.

I will say, that can’t possibly be her first quilt. That curve is something you try once you’re comfortable with it. So, that tickles me thinking that there may be other Vampire quilts out there.
