When I think on the ridiculousness of this afghan, I feel like nothing illustrates it as well as the fact that it takes two bags to contain all the squares. Oh, god, I hope this turns out okay, because it’s a lot.

I’m actually glad I have the time the tail tucking is taking to contemplate how best to put it together to insure no identical squares touch. Plus, I’m trying to figure out how to get it all sewn together in ways that, well, tie everything together and keep everything well-supported. In a traditional granny-square afghan you can count on each corner having two threads holding it together–one from each direction. But this seems as if you might have a lot of corners with only one strand running through. That makes me a little anxious.
