2. Chuck told me I’m going on at 7. I have no idea if I’m supposed to be reading for the whole hour, but, like I said, I’m doing one ghost story and one excerpt from Project X. I heard a rumor people are going to be encouraged to come in costume. Don’t worry. The full moon isn’t until the 18th, so, if you come in your regular clothes, you can just tell people you’re a werewolf. But, anyway, here’s the band playing with me.

I’ve tried to consider this in the most generous light possible, but the idea that elected Democratic officials are too liberal and that conservative Democrats aren’t respected is just so full of shit that I can only make sense of it if I believe that the problem is that folks who don’t want to be decent to gay people or stick up for women are all hurt that they can’t go unchallenged about it.

I went to that strategies place and left some caustic comments about the absurdity of thinking honest liberal Democrats have any say. The comment was never posted; I guess they objected to terms like RepublicanLite and criticism of the shabby treatment gay people get from the D leadership.
