This morning, as I was walking the dog, it was so dark and foggy in the back part of the yard that it was like something out of a horror movie, or a story where a woman very much like myself falls into the wrong side of reality, and it was actually kind of terrifying.
So, good job, self. You may not scare anyone else with this story, but you have done yourself.
I didn’t think eyeballs could be that creepy, but your description has made my skin crawl. And for some reason Rufus loving the tentacle petting is super creepy too.
I know! But I do believe that’s in keeping with his character. The Butcher and I were just talking about this on the way to work–the dog just doesn’t experience much that happens to him as being bad. The sting he got on his face was the first time he ever seemed to actively dislike something. So, I do believe, if he were being eaten, as long as some part of it was really awesome, he’d probably be cool with it.
