The Houses I Looked At

Isaac Franklin’s House. I was trying to get a feel for how it was set up by looking at the roof line.

One interesting thing is that, in spite of its age, it’s not what they call an i-house.

See how the chimneys are? That suggests there’s at least four rooms on each floor.

This is a house in a subdivision across from Franklin’s house. You can see it’s only one room deep.

And then over the years, porches have been enclosed and a back wing has been added n.

Here you get a really good sense of how homes like this can just start to ramble.

And you can seee where a side door has been added.

Another house, another bunch of add-ons over time. I love this one especially because you can see the different chimneys.
